What is Crossfire Illinois all about? I'm so very glad you asked. Crossfire Illinois is about reaching out to teenagers and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ and Him Crucifed for our sins - so that we can come into a full on relationship with the one and only - God Almighty (awesome!).
We preach straight out of the bible in an effort to equip teens today with actual tools to help them live life to the fullest rather than having to endure the contstant difficulties of this life with only minimal hope.
Preaching and teaching the Word of God is the ONLY thing than can help you and me. Teaching teeneagers how to think more positively; how to increase their self esteem and how to encourage themselves on a regular basis - isn't going to cut it. Teaching them to remember their childhood trauma and talking them through it, so they can one day finally be rid of their tormenting "demons" - that's not going to work either. Teaching them that they need to do more for their church and/or for God in order to swiftly get his attention in their lives - now that's only placing them in further bondage. Leaving them worse off than when they started.
HOWEVER, teaching teens (and anyone / everyone) about how to place their faith in Christ and what He accomplished on the cross by taking our sins upon Himself and dying in our place as the final pure sacrfice; miraculously bringing us into a perfect relationship with our Holy God (creator of the universe)- now THAT will change lives. It'll change lives, save souls, and miraculusly recontruct the hearts of mankind.

We're not in the business of condeming people - we're in the business of saving lives, helping others, and teaching teenagers how to have CONTINUAL victory over the issues in their lives - through the name of Jesus Christ.
It comes down to this: if we're going to have church, then let's have church. Enough pretending to have church. Enough of just going through the motions. Enough of this silly timid behavior; tip-toeing around everyone and anyone, worrying about who we are going to offend next. Are you worried about offending Man? Because you should be worried (concerned) about if you're offedning God Almighty.
